After earning her medical degree in 1976 from the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Gail Weingast embarked on a journey of intensive medical education and specialization.

Her post-graduate training began at Colorado General Hospital in Denver, where she undertook a pediatrics internship from 1976 to 1977. She continued to refine her pediatric skills with a two-year residency, completing this phase of her training in 1979. However, her interests began to shift toward radiology—a decision that would define the rest of her career.

From 1980 to 1983, Dr. Weingast pursued a residency in radiology, again at Colorado General Hospital. This specialized training allowed her to gain a deep understanding of imaging techniques and diagnostic methods, laying the foundation for her expertise in the field. To further sharpen her skills, she completed a fellowship in ultrasound in 1983, also under the auspices of Colorado General Hospital.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning, Dr. Weingast undertook post-graduate studies in radiology at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver from 1983 to 1984. This period of study enabled her to stay ahead of advancements in radiological technology and best practices, ensuring that she could provide the highest standard of care to her patients.
